Hello my beautiful readers, we made it to FriYAY. What a week. If you have plans tonight, please go pop off and do your thing. If you don't, you've come to the right place because neither do I!

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love a night out. But let me tell you there is something about a night in with my comfy, my beverage of choice, and just my own company. I knew I reached real adulthood when I stopped getting fomo about going out. I no longer feel like I need to go out to have a good time and let me tell you something: it's freeing. Plus, I get to reset, relax, and quite literally do whatever the f I want. Cheers!

If you are in need of some "Party of 1 Night In" inspiration, this one's for YOU.

Here's what I'm doing on my weekend night in:

Step 1: Put your comfy on. If you don't have a comfy, I recommend that you purchase one immediately. I even linked it. Do you think they'll sponsor me? However, if one is not available to you, any comfy clothes will do.

Step 2: What does your dining scene look like? Takeout is always a great option, but tonight I'm making a shrimp pasta with a garlic butter sauce. I'm using heart noodles (so valentines of me) that I bought from Aldi. Yes, we are an Aldi stan.

Step 3: What activity are you doing? By activity, I mean, how are you choosing to spend your time? If you want to sit on your couch and literally just stare at the wall for hours, I feel you. Be my guest.

Other activities may include:

  • Movie night

  • Paint by Numbers

  • Netflix TV series binge (I'm currently binging Suits- big fan)

  • Reading

  • Writing/Journaling

  • Anything that fills your cup :)

Step 4: What's the beverage scene look like?

If you have yet to read my January edition of "Cocktail Vs. Mocktail", go check it out for some inspo (February coming soon).

Tonight I am rockin' a diet ginger ale in a wine glass on ice. Keep it classy ladies.

Step 5: Optional, but highly recommended

Add in a face mask to top off the night. It's an immediate upgrade to a top tier night in. That's all.

My dear readers in their 20's: A night in does not mean that you failed or that you are lonely. It does not mean that you have no friends or that you are not social. A night in means that you are taking care of your mind, your body, and your soul. You are taking the time to rest and rejuvenate. If you are still in your fomo phase, try this. Get comfortable with spending time with just you. After all, the person you will spend your whole life with is YOU. You might as well learn to enjoy your own company.
